On Monday, the Blackhawks placed four players on waivers. The personnel included Anton Lindholm (defenseman), John Quenneville (forward), Nick Seeler (defenseman) and Matt Tomkins (goalie).

Lindholm, 26, came over in the offseason trade that sent Brandon Saad to the Colorado Avalanche. He appeared in four games with the Avalanche last season, recording one assist.

Quenneville, 24, didn't register any points in nine regular season and two postseason games last year after coming to Chicago from the New Jersey Devils in a swap for forward John Hayden.

Seeler, 26, picked up an assist in six regular season games with the Hawks last year after being claimed off waivers from the Minnesota Wild.

Tomkins, 26, went 5-7-1 with a 3.12 goals-against average and a .896 save percentage in 13 games with the Blackhawks' American Hockey League affiliate, the Rockford IceHogs, last season.
