Blackhawks become first NHL team to join "Rally the Vote" originally appeared on NBC Sports Chicago
On Thursday, the Blackhawks announced that they joined "Rally the Vote", a nonpartisan voter registration coalition.
The Hawks are the first NHL team to join the coalition made up of over 20 professional sports franchises focused on encouraging fans to make their voice heard by registering to vote and participating in elections.
The Blackhawks urge fans to register to vote at Blackhawks.com/Vote.

That begins with individuals exercising their right to vote for leaders who share their values at every level of government, said Danny Wirtz, Interim President of the Chicago Blackhawks.
