The Bears have agreed to a contract extension with a key member of their offense.

Tarik Cohen and the Bears have agreed to a three-year deal, Drew Rosenhaus, Cohen's agent, told reporters, including ESPN's Adam Schefter, early Sunday morning.

The deal is for three years and worth $17.25 million ($5.75 million per year) and with incentives it could be worth up to $18.25 million ($6.093 million/year), 

Cohen is in the final year of his rookie deal and making $2.133 million this season. 

The 2017 fourth-round pick has rushed for 1,068 yards and five touchdowns in three-plus seasons, to go along with 205 catches for 1,540 yards and nine touchdowns. He got off to a good start on the ground this past Sunday in Detroit, rushing for 41 yards on seven carries (5.9 average).

Cohen also made the 2019 Pro Bowl as a return specialist.
