According to a new report, another Bears position coach is on the move to another team. Tom Pelissero reported on Tuesday afternoon that Ted Monachino will join the Atlanta Falcons as their outside linebackers coach.

Monchino worked as the Bears’ outside linebackers coach in 2019 and 2020. During his tenure he coached players like Khalil Mack, Leonard Floyd, Robert Quinn, Aaron Lynch and Barkevious Mingo. In 2020 the Bears finished the season with 35 sacks (17th in NFL) and in 2019 they notched 32 sacks (t-24th in NFL).

In addition to Monchino, several other former Bears coaches have joined the Falcons. Former passing game coordinator and quarterbacks coach Dave Ragone will act as Atlanta’s new offensive coordinator. Former running backs coach Charles London is also headed to Atlanta as their new quarterbacks coach.
