Hicks returning to Bears seems less likely after deleted Instagram originally appeared on NBC Sports Chicago
There's no question the Bears could use some reinforcements in the middle of their defensive line, but it doesn't sound like Akiem Hicks will be walking through that door.
Hicks, who has spent the last six seasons in Chicago, is currently a free agent. The 32-year-old defensive lineman created some buzz Wednesday when he posted a photo on Instagram of himself sacking Aaron Rodgers.
Naturally, this had Bears fans believing a reunion with Hicks was in the works.
But Hicks deleted the post and explained that he was just taking a trip down memory lane.
The Bears have lost Hicks, Bilal Nichols, and Eddie Goldman off last year's defensive line.
New general manager Ryan Poles agreed to sign Larry Ogunjobi earlier in the offseason, but the 27-year-old failed his physical, and the deal was voided. The Bears signed Justin Jones but still could use another big body on the interior of their defensive line.

Bringing Hicks back would be a boon to the Bears' defense, and it's something Poles should consider if Hicks is open to returning.
But as of right now, that reunion seems unlikely.
