The Chicago White Sox made it interesting, but they couldn't quite get the job done in a comeback attempt against the Oakland A's on Wednesday.
The White Sox have not won a postseason series since their World Series triumph in 2005, and while they'll still have a chance to do that on Thursday, they couldn't get the job done on Wednesday.
You can read the full recap here, and here are the headlines from Game 2 of the series:
5:10 p.m.
Things have gotten REALLY interesting in Oakland, as the White Sox have the go-ahead run at the plate with two outs, and have now chased A's closer Liam Hendriks from the game.
After a Yoan Moncada walk, Yasmani Grandal, who hit a two-run home run in the eighth inning, is now up for the White Sox.

Chicago Baseball
The White Sox had a chance to claw back a run or two in the seventh inning, but they couldn't get the job done as the A's kept them at bay.
After Nomar Mazara and Adam Engel both reached base on singles, Zack Collins struck out and Madrigal grounded out to second, keeping the Sox deficit at five runs heading into the bottom of the seventh inning.
3:44 p.m.
The White Sox have managed just three hits against Chris Bassitt, and they still trail 5-0 after the top of the fifth inning.
The two teams do know their upcoming opponent in the next round, as the Houston Astros have knocked out the Minnesota Twins in a two-game sweep in Minnesota.
The winner of the White Sox-A's series will face the Astros at Dodger Stadium in the American League Division Series next week.
3:29 p.m.
Things are continuing to go poorly for Keuchel and the White Sox, as Khris Davis launches a deep home run to center field, giving Oakland a 5-0 lead. With questions about a possible starting pitcher for Thursday, Keuchel might have to stick around in this game for a little while for Chicago.
2:54 p.m.
The Oakland A's have extended their lead, with Marcus Semien hammering a shot out to deep center field for a two-run home run and a 4-0 advantage for the home squad.
Dallas Keuchel, one of baseball's best pitchers in terms of keeping the ball on the ground, has struggled to do that at times early on in this game, with Semien rifling a shot 418 feet out to center field for that home run.
2:33 p.m.
The White Sox trail early against the A's, as some shaky defense leads to two Oakland runs.
After Chad Pinder reached on what was ruled an infield single after Tim Anderson couldn't make a spinning throw to first base, Nick Madrigal's error on a ground ball by Matt Olson allowed two runs to score, giving the Athletics a 2-0 lead early in the contest.
1:58 p.m.
The White Sox remain without Eloy Jimenez in their starting lineup, as the slugger is still battling a heel injury.
Yasmani Grandal will be behind the plate for the White Sox, while Edwin Encarnacion will slot into the lineup and serve as the designated hitter as the team faces Chris Bassitt in Game 2.
Keuchel hopes to continue his strong pitching of late, as the hurler posted a 6-2 record and a 1.99 ERA in 11 starts so far this season.
