The Chicago White Sox have moved up their game time on Monday due to forecasted cold weather.
The team was originally supposed to take on the Tampa Bay Rays at 7:10 p.m., but because of cold conditions in the forecast, they will instead play at 1:10 p.m.
According to the White Sox, parking lots will open around Guaranteed Rate Field at 11 a.m., and the gates to the ballpark will open at noon.
Fans who have tickets to the game will be allowed to exchange them for tickets to another game. Fans wishing to do so can bring the tickets to the Guaranteed Rate Field box office beginning on Tuesday at 10 a.m.
The high temperature on Monday is forecasted to hit 39 degrees, but rain and snow are in the forecast, leading the White Sox to make the decision to move the game up.
The forecasted cold is finally expected to lift a bit on Wednesday, with a high temperature of 56 in the forecast under partly cloudy skies.
The Chicago Cubs will open their home schedule against the Pittsburgh Pirates on Monday afternoon, with first pitch at the Friendly Confines scheduled for 1:20 p.m.
