Chicago Cubs fans who want to see their team play in the MLB playoffs can now sign up for the postseason ticket drawing, the team announced Friday.
Fans wanting to purchase tickets can visit the Cubs’ website to do so from today until Friday, Sept. 21 at noon, but it won’t be free, as the team will once again charge a $50 refundable deposit to sign up for the opportunity to buy tickets to any playoff game.
If fans are selected for the drawing, they will be able to use that deposit toward tickets, and if they are not chosen or if they choose not to purchase tickets, they will be refunded the money. Fans who are not selected for each round of the postseason will remain eligible to buy tickets to future rounds.
Fans who are chosen in the drawing will have the opportunity to buy four tickets to available games.
In 2018, fans will now only be able to get tickets via the free MLB Ballpark app, and will need their phone to get into the ballpark for playoff games.
