Lauri Markkanen Will Likely Play vs. Rockets

Markkanen has missed 23 games due to an elbow injury

It appears that the Chicago Bulls will finally get one of their best players back on Saturday night, as forward Lauri Markkanen is expected to make his season debut against the Houston Rockets.

Markkanen, who had missed the Bulls’ first 23 games due to an elbow injury, was originally projected to come back next week, but the team made the surprise announcement Saturday that he would be in the lineup against the Rockets if all goes well in pregame warm-ups.

Markkanen took the NBA by storm in his rookie season, averaging 15.2 points per game and 7.5 rebounds per game for the Bulls in 68 games.

The 5-18 Bulls will hope that Markkanen can help turn things around, as they’ve had a rough run of late in losing nine of their last 10 games.
