Date Set for Jose Quintana's Chicago Cubs Debut

The Chicago Cubs made a massive move when they acquired Jose Quintana from the Chicago White Sox, and we now know when the pitcher will make his debut with the North Siders.

Quintana, who has pitched at least 200 innings in each of the last four seasons, will make his debut with the Cubs on Sunday afternoon when they take on the Baltimore Orioles at Camden Yards.

The pitcher has a 4-8 record this season, with a 4.49 ERA and 109 strikeouts in 104 innings of work, and he’ll be looking to continue his strong pitching of late as the Cubs get the second half of their season underway.

Mike Montgomery will kick off the second half of the season for the Cubs when they face the Orioles on Friday, with Kevin Gausman opposing him. Jake Arrieta will get the start Saturday against the Orioles squad that traded him to the Cubs back in 2014, and he’ll be opposed by Wade Miley.
