Local Product Jake Elliott Wins Super Bowl Title With Eagles

The Philadelphia Eagles won their first ever Super Bowl on Sunday night with a 41-33 win over the New England Patriots, and local product Jake Elliott played a huge role in the win.

Elliott, who played high school football at Lyons Township, made all three of his field goal attempts in the game, including a 46-yard field goal that helped seal the Eagles' win late in the fourth quarter.

Elliott did have a bit of a misstep during the game, missing an extra point, but he made two other extra points to account for 11 total points for the victorious Eagles.

Former Chicago Bears wide receiver Alshon Jeffery also had a big game for the Eagles, catching three passes for 73 yards and a touchdown, and Chris Long, brother of Bears lineman Kyle Long, is a world champion for the second consecutive year.
