  • One of the biggest stories facing the Hawks during the preseason will be who will take over the second line center position, likely between wingers Patrick Sharp and Marian Hossa. There are several contenders, including Brandon Pirri and Mark McNeill. Brian Hedger has an excellent write-up of what fans can expect as the competition for that spot begins. [NHL.com]
  • The Blackhawks made an addition to their minor league roster on Tuesday, inking 23-year old defenseman Ryan Stanton to a one-year contract. He had three goals and 22 assists with the Rockford IceHogs last season. Scott Powers has more. [ESPN Chicago]
