When former Northern Illinois star Michael Turner became available as a free agent this off-season, many Bears fans had visions of him sprinting and dancing his way into the end zone for the Bears this season. Instead, Bears GM Jerry Angelo decided against signing the high-priced free agent, choosing to draft Matt Forte out of Tulane as the heir apparent to the departing Cedric Benson.
This Sunday, Angelo and the Bears could get a healthy dose of what could-have-been.
Turner enters the Bears/Falcons tilt as the NFL's top rusher averaging 5.3 yards/carry... and has led Atlanta to almost as many wins this season (3) as they had all of last year (4).
