Eloy Jimenez Pens Goodbye to Cubs Fans After Trade

The Chicago Cubs made a huge splash when they acquired Jose Quintana from the Chicago White Sox, but it cost them their top prospect as they said goodbye to Eloy Jimenez.

After the trade was announced on Thursday, Jimenez took to Twitter to pen his goodbye to Cubs fans as he begins his new journey on the South Side:

“I want to give thanks to the Cubs’ organization and fans for giving me their support and respect,” Jimenez said.

Jimenez, one of the top prospects in baseball, was traded to the White Sox along with Dylan Cease and two other prospects on Thursday afternoon.
