Defensive Lineman Andre Fluellen Released From Contract

Contract was terminated Monday after being signed in early April

That was fast. After fewer than two months in Chicago, defensive tackle Andre Fluellen is no longer a Bear.

The defensive tackle's contract was terminated Monday after being signed in early April.

Fluellen never played a down in a Bears uniform. He played in six games for Detroit and also spent tme in Miami. He was signed in April as the Bears looked to create depth at the defensive line, but was let go after a week of OTAs.

Another defensive lineman still absent from the Bears' roster is Israel Idonije. He was reportedly given a contract offer by Chicago and made a visit with the Tennessee Titans, but still has made no decision.

Every day of OTAs that he misses, he's less likely to be a Chicago Bear.

Fluellen wasn't likely going to be an impactful Bear, but it will be interesting to see how the Bears figure out how to add to the defensive line without him or Idonije around. We mentioned how the line will look very different in 2013. The changes are already taking place.
