Cubs Game vs. Cardinals Postponed Due to Weather

The Chicago Cubs' game against the St. Louis Cardinals has been postponed due to weather, the team announced Monday.

The game was postponed "due to the forecast for inclement weather throughout the day and wind chills in the 20s this evening," the team said.

The game will be made up at 12:05 p.m. on Saturday, July 21, as the first game of a split doubleheader at Wrigley Field. It will be followed by the regularly scheduled night game at 6:15 p.m., the team said.

Sunday's Cubs game also was postponed because of weather.

A Winter Weather Advisory was in effect for multiple Chicago-area counties until early Monday morning, though snow remained in the forecast for the day across the area.

Across the area light to moderate snow showers were set to continue through much of the day. Some of those showers will be met with wind gusts of up to 30 mph, which could reduce visibilities.

Tuesday looks to stay dry as temps warm into the mid-40s but the chance for rain returns Wednesday and Thursday.
