The Chicago White Sox have made their first roster moves of spring training, as they sent down their 2018 first round draft pick to minor league camp.

Infielder Nick Madrigal, whom the White Sox took with the fourth overall pick out of Oregon State last year, was among five players who was assigned to minor league camp by the team on Tuesday evening.

In 13 at-bats so far this spring, Madrigal was batting .308 with a pair of walks and zero RBI for the White Sox, but for now he’ll head back to the minor leagues for additional instruction as the team moves forward in camp.

The White Sox also reassigned pitchers Bernando Flores and Jordan Guerrero to minor league camp, along with outfield prospects Luis Gonzalez and Blake Rutherford.

The White Sox now have 58 players remaining in camp, with 29 pitchers, six catchers, 11 infielders, and 12 outfielders.
