Chicago White Sox Make Roster Move, Option Daniel Palka to Triple-A

Palka had one hit in 45 at-bats with the White Sox this season

The Chicago White Sox are heading into the MLB All-Star break, and they made a roster move Sunday, sending outfielder Daniel Palka to Triple-A Charlotte.

Palka, who has one hit in 45 at-bats this season, had a pair of runs batted in for the White Sox. He has had two different stints with the South Siders this season, but struggled to find his form at the plate at the big league level.

In the minors, Palka has hit 16 home runs and driven in 42 RBIs for the Triple-A Charlotte Knights, and he has posted a .271 batting average in 59 games.

The White Sox did not make a corresponding roster move, and will announce it before they return to the field on Friday against the Oakland A’s.
