Bank of America Chicago Marathon Training Week 11: Run Confident

I started slowly working my way up in my recovery runs on the treadmill

Back to the running grind! It felt good to get back into running mode after my bout with Bronchitis.

I started slowly working my way up in my recovery runs on the treadmill. Then, I finally ventured outside and it felt good to hit the pavement again.

I need to get in the habit of getting out before the sun come up because this later morning run was tough in the heat. I know you’re supposed to be prepared for any weather for the day of the marathon, but I’m hoping it’s not an 80 degree day!

I decided to wear a handheld water bottle, since water fountains are in few supply along my route. It felt great! The sloshing took some getting used to, but I needed to stay hydrated. I got 12 miles down on this run. Only upping the mileage come week 12! Happy running!
