Wrigley Field Painting Unveiled

A 100th anniversary painting of Wrigley Field was unveiled Thursday.

The painting -- "Wrigley Field: Memories and Dreams" by Thomas Kinkade Studios --  was unveiled Thursday afternoon in the Wrigley Room of Harry Caray's Italian Steakhouse.

Patrick Kinkade, brother of the late Thomas Kinkade, and Chicago Cubs legend Ernie Banks were joined by local gallery owners and art collectors for the event, along with lumineries such as Dutchie Caray, wife of the late Cubs broadcast Harry Caray.

Thomas Kinkade Studios was commissioned by Major League Baseball to paint the rendering of Wrigley Field on Opening Day in the early 1940s.

The one-of-a-kind painting's public presentation coincides with the Cubs' home opener.
