Chicago Bulls Make History in Horrendous Loss to Celtics

The 56-point defeat is the biggest in the history of the Bulls' franchise

The Chicago Bulls suffered a 133-77 loss to the Boston Celtics on Saturday night, and the defeat was not only embarrassing for the players on the floor, but it was also historic in its magnitude.

The 56-point loss is the largest margin of defeat in franchise history, which dates back all the way to the mid-1960’s. The Celtics also set a team record for their biggest win in club history, and the historic achievements don’t stop there.

According to ESPN’s Stats and Info, the 56-point road win for the Celtics is tied for the largest in NBA history, matching a 136-80 triumph for the Seattle Sonics over the Houston Rockets in a 1986 game.

The loss drops the Bulls’ record to 6-21 on the season, and is their 10th loss in 14 games at the United Center.
