Zach LaVine, Bulls Pull Away Late From Hawks

The Bulls outscored the Hawks 56-41 in the second half and cruised to victory

The Chicago Bulls got 27 points out of Zach LaVine and 18 more from Jabari Parker as they beat the Atlanta Hawks 97-85 on Saturday night. 

LaVine also pulled down 11 rebounds in the game, and the Bulls were able to win despite nine turnovers from the big man. Wendell Carter Jr. had a double-double as he registered 10 points and 10 rebounds, and the Bulls got five steals from Justin Holiday in the victory. 

Taurean Prince led the Hawks in scoring with 16 points, and Dewayne Dedmon had a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds in 27 minutes of action. 

The Bulls trailed by three points at halftime, but came out strong in the second half and led by four points going into the fourth quarter. The Hawks made it a close game early as Prince and Trae Young scored ealry buckets to pull the team within two points, but from there, the Bulls began to pull away. 

Three-pointers from Holiday and Parker made it an 86-78 game with five and a half minutes to go, and two buckets and two free throws from LaVine in the closing 95 seconds of action led the Bulls to their second victory of the season. 

The Bulls will now head home for a really tough matchup on Monday when they welcome the defending NBA champion Golden State Warriors to the United Center.
