Chicago Blackhawks Announce Opening Night Pregame Festivities

The Chicago Blackhawks will host their home opener on Sunday night against the Toronto Maple Leafs, and fans are encouraged to visit the United Center for all the festivities before the game.

The Blackhawks, as has become tradition over the last decade, will hold a Red Carpet entrance for players and coaches that will be free and open to the public.

Fans will also be able to visit the new offerings inside the United Center Atrium, which will feature new food and beverage options and the expanded Madhouse Team Store.

All United Center parking lots are currently open, and fans do not need to have a ticket to attend the red carpet ceremony.

Inside the United Center, the Blackhawks are encouraging fans to take photos in front of “Hockey New Year” signs near the LED walls outside of sections 101 and 111, and are also encouraging fans to be in their seats by 5:30 p.m. for their tribute to Stan Mikita, who passed away earlier this year.
