Chicago Blackhawks Sign First Round Pick Nicolas Beaudin to Entry-Level Contract

Beaudin will have an average annual salary of $1.17 million

The Chicago Blackhawks signed 2018 first round pick Nicolas Beaudin to a three-year entry level contract on Friday.

Beaudin, currently playing with the Drummondville Voltigeurs of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, was selected with the 27th overall pick in June's NHL Draft. He has one goal and eight assists so far this season.

According to the Blackhawks, Beaudin signed a deal worth $1.17 million annually over the life of the deal, but he will remain with Drummondville for the remainder of their season.

Beaudin is the second 2018 pick to ink a deal with the Blackhawks, as eighth overall selection Adam Boqvist signed with the team earlier this year.
