The second Winter Classic went the way of the Detroit Red Wings, as they pounded the Blackhawks 6-4. Martin Havlat and Ben Eager both scored goals, but Jiri Hudler scored a pair of tallies to give the Red Wings the victory.

In the first ever meeting between Jonathan Toews and Sidney Crosby, the Blackhawks prevailed for their first and only win in an outdoor game, beating the Penguins 5-1. Toews scored twice in the contest, and James Neal had the lone goal for Pittsburgh.

With just 13 seconds left in regulation, former Blackhawks winger Troy Brouwer scored to give the Capitals a 3-2 win over the Blackhawks.

This one was a Blackhawks game to forget, as the Hawks were dominated by Minnesota in a 6-1 blowout. Chicago's lone goal was scored by Patrick Kane with eight minutes to go in the third period.
