Former Chicago Blackhawks forward Anthony Duclair has signed a one-year contract with the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Duclair, who was not tendered a qualifying offer by the Blackhawks in June, will reportedly make just $650,000 on the contract.

If the Blackhawks had submitted a qualifying offer for Duclair, who was acquired last season in a trade that sent Richard Panik to the Arizona Coyotes, they would have had to pay him at least $1.2 million for the coming season.

In 23 games with the Blackhawks, Duclair scored two goals and dished out six assists for the Blackhawks. A former 20 goal scorer, Duclair will hoped a better fit with the Blue Jackets next season.
