While the current Chicago Bears kicker was breaking the hearts of fans, a former Bears kicker was in the stands taking it all in.
Robbie Gould, who the Bears cut prior to the 2016 season, brought his sons to the Bears playoff game on Sunday, and posted a picture on social media:
Gould and the rest of the Bears fans in the stadium watched in horror as Cody Parkey’s potential game-winning kick hit the upright and the crossbar, leaving the Bears out of the playoffs and fans in tears.
Just so Bears fans are aware, Gould is a free agent when the new league year starts in March, and all he’s done since leaving Chicago is go 82-of-85 field goals that he’s attempted over the last three seasons.
