White Sox Place Yoan Moncada on 10-Day Disabled List

Moncada left the team's last two games because of a tight hamstring

The Chicago White Sox will be without one of their top young players in the short-term, as infielder Yoan Moncada was placed on the 10-day disabled list.

Moncada, who has six home runs and 15 RBI to go along with 17 walks this season, has been the team’s most dynamic player on offense, but he will be sidelined for a little while as he deals with tightness in his left hamstring.

To replace Moncada, the White Sox have recalled infielder Jose Rondon from Triple-A Charlotte. Rondon has hit four home runs and driven in 10 RBI this season for the Knights, and has also scored 15 runs.

Moncada has left the White Sox last two games because of the issue, and won’t be in the lineup when they take on the Minnesota Twins Saturday night at Guaranteed Rate Field.
