The Price of a Baseball Stadium Proposal

When it comes to Chicago lovers and baseball enthusiasts, it would appear Sox fans have it cheaper

If you’re looking to put your love in the air at a baseball stadium, you might want to think twice about where you pitch your proposal.

Scoreboard marriage proposals aren’t uncommon in the baseball realm, but an analysis from Swimmingly shows that some fans could be dishing out more than others for their outfield offer.

When it comes to Chicago lovers and baseball enthusiasts, it would appear Sox fans have it cheaper.

Scoreboard messages cost just $55 at U.S. Cellular Field compared to $175 at Wrigley Field, though the Friendly Confines toss in a commemorative print and digital copy of the proposal.

Dodgers fans face the priciest proposals, with potential partners needing $2,500 to “put a ring on it” live on the stadium’s video board. But if you’re not looking to break the bank on the engagement, you can also post a message on the scoreboard for $75.

Dodgers fans are followed by Washington Nationals fans, who will need $1,500 for a live video board proposal and $500 for a message on the scoreboard.

Pittsburgh Pirates romantics need just $38.50 for a scoreboard display, marking the cheapest proposals.

As for Blue Jays, Angels, Royals, Orioles and Mets fans, well, it appears they’ll just have to propose the old fashion way if they plan to declare their love on game day.
