South Side Bar Offers Free Beer for Every Cardinals Home Run

While much of Chicago has come down with a serious case of Cubs fever, there’s at least one South Side establishment that appears to be immune.

In a community where White Sox roots ring strong sits McNally’s sports bar. The popular Morgan Park bar, located at 11136 S. Western Ave., has made it clear they’re not rooting for the Sox's North Side rivals, despite the fact that they're from the same city.

Posting signs outside their bar that read “Free Beer Every Cardinal Home Run” and “Cub Fans Whos [sic] Gonna Pitch Now?” McNally’s has publicly shown that they aren't sharing the excitement Cubs fans in Wrigleyville are.

The Cubs are set to face the St. Louis Cardinals Friday in the National League Division Series. Whether Sox fans hoping to catch a free beer will end up with a drink in hand remains to be seen.
