Park at Wrigley to Host First Cubs Postseason Watch Party Friday

The Chicago Cubs will open the postseason at Nationals Park, but fans wanting to watch the game in a unique environment will be able to catch all the action on the North Side.

That’s because the Cubs will open up the Park at Wrigley for viewing parties for Games 1 and 2 of the National League Division Series against the Washington Nationals. Fans will be able to watch games on the giant video board outside of the iconic ballpark, the team announced on Tuesday afternoon.

Tickets to the viewing party will cost $10, and can be purchased on the Park at Wrigley website. Customers will be limited to four tickets per purchase, and the cost of admission will benefit Cubs Charities.

According to the team’s website, the park will open one hour before first pitch, and will close immediately following the conclusion of the game. Parking will be available in the parking lot on Grace Street on a first come, first served basis.

The Cubs will open the playoffs on Friday night when they take on the Nationals in the NLDS. First pitch is scheduled for just after 6:30 p.m., and Game 2 is slated for Saturday afternoon at 4:30 p.m.
