Maddon Blasts ‘Rocky' Theme as Cubs Look to Make a Comeback

Joe Maddon is known for lightening the mood when it comes to the stress of baseball.

Whether it’s an on-field petting zoo or a pajama party, Maddon has made headlines for the unique methods he uses to keep his team at ease.

With the Cubs trailing the Mets 2-0 in the NLCS, it appears his strategy hasn’t changed much.

The team is looking to make a major comeback, so it makes sense that Maddon would blast the “Rocky” theme song in the visiting clubhouse at Citi Field.

The music could be heard throughout the clubhouse as the team prepared to leave.

"Sometimes it's polka music, sometimes it's Rocky," Maddon said Monday. "Listen, they beat us, but it's not nearly over with, and we are really good, as our hashtag, #wearegood. I have a lot of faith in our guys."

The move is an encouraging one, as it appears the Cubs manager clearly has faith in his team, and the team is not going to let the two losses in New York get them down.
