After a monster start to the season, Chicago White Sox prospect Luis Robert has been named as one of the team’s Minor League Players of the Month for April.

Robert, who batted .453 with a total of 16 extra-base hits and 24 RBI in the month of April, shared the honor along with left-handed pitcher Konnor Pilkington.

The slugging outfielder terrorized Class-A pitching with the Winston-Salem Dash, collecting five doubles and three triples to go along with his eight home runs so far this season. Robert also has a .512 on-base percentage and scored 21 runs with the Dash before being called up to the Double-A Birmingham Barons this week.

As for Pilkington, he is off to a strong start for the Class-A Kannapolis Intimidators. The hurler has a 1-0 record with a 2.01 ERA in 22.1 innings of work, and has struck out 28 batters while walking eight in his four starts.
