Looks like the apple doesn’t fall too far from the Arrieta family tree.

Jake Arrieta’s son was caught on video throwing a baseball through a ring that was tossed into the air – a move that clearly made his father proud.

The slow-motion video, an ode to trick-shot group Dude Perfect, was posted by his mother on Twitter Sunday. As the baseball went through the ring, the star Cubs pitcher can be seen cheering on the other side of it for his son.

“Coop has been obsessed with @DudePerfect for a while, here is his tryout video” Brittany Arrieta wrote.
