International Space Station to Fly Over Wrigley Field on ‘Star Wars' Night

The space station will fly over the Friendly Confines at 9:17 p.m.

The stars have aligned to make Wednesday's "Star Wars Night" at Wrigley Field a memorable evening for those in attendance for the game between the Chicago Cubs and Cleveland Indians.

At approximately 9:17 p.m., the International Space Station is set to fly over Chicago, appearing in the sky for a total of six minutes according to NASA.

According to forecasts from the NBC 5 Storm Team, the skies over Wrigley Field should be clear when the space station goes overhead, so fans enjoying the “Star Wars” themed fun will have a very appropriate distraction from the game.

The first 10,000 fans to enter Wrigley Field will receive a “Star Wars” t-shirt, according to the team. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
