Chicago Cubs infielder Nico Hoerner has already developed quite a following in the city, and the team is looking for one young fan who took his enthusiasm to a whole new level.
In a post to Twitter, the Cubs asked their fans for help in locating the fan, who was sporting a homemade Hoerner t-shirt at a recent Cubs game:
"Twitter, do your thing! Help us find this awesome Cubs fan's family," the team tweeted. "We want to get him a Nico Hoerner jersey!"
The 2018 first round draft pick has exploded onto the scene for the Cubs, hitting two home runs and driving in 11 RBI's in eight games for the Cubs. He's batting .364 in 36 plate appearances.
Hoerner will be back in the team's starting lineup on Tuesday when they take on the Cincinnati Reds, batting eighth and playing shortstop.
