Cubs Players Offer Thoughts, Prayers to Puerto Rico Hurricane Victims

With Hurricane Maria hammering Puerto Rico and the Caribbean, some members of the Chicago Cubs are playing with heavy hearts this week.

Like when Hurricane Irma struck south Florida earlier this month, Cubs players have taken to social media to let their countrymen and families know that they are thinking about them even as they compete in a wild playoff race.

Players like Javier Baez, a native of Puerto Rico, and Victor Caratini, who also hails from the island nation, are among the players sending their thoughts and prayers to the region:

The Cubs' organization has made substantial donations to relief organizations after both Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma, as the team donated proceeds from 50-50 raffles to victims of both storms.
