Christopher Lloyd, Aka ‘Doc,' Wants to Throw First Pitch If Cubs Make it to World Series

If the Cubs do end up in the World Series, and win, it would be yet another prediction from “Back to the Future: Part II” to become a reality

Great Scott! Christopher Lloyd, also known as “Doc” from “Back to the Future,” wants to throw the first pitch if the Chicago Cubs make it to the World Series.

The moment would be monumental for Cubs fans, who have been waiting for the 2015 Cubs since the film was released in 1989 – many for even longer.

If the Cubs do end up in the World Series, and win, it would be yet another prediction from “Back to the Future: Part II” to become a reality.

The film was able to correctly guess that 3D movies and fingerprint technology would be available today. We're still waiting on dog-walking robots, however.

Lloyd told the Hollywood Reporter if the team makes it to the event, he’d like to toss the first pitch. But, he added, “they got to get there first.”

Lloyd and Michael J. Fox most recently reunited for a video posted Wednesday to revisit prophecies made in the movie.

It’s still too soon to tell if the duo's prediction about the Cubs winning the World Series this year will come true. The Cubs take on the Mets in the National League Championship Series starting Saturday.
