With the Chicago White Sox battling injuries to multiple players, one of the team’s former first round picks looks poised to make his big league debut.

According to multiple reports, including from Andy Slater of 640 the Hurricane and James Fegan of the Athletic, the White Sox will call up catcher Zack Collins in time for Tuesday’s game against the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field.

Collins, the team’s first round pick in the 2016 MLB Draft, is the 11th ranked prospect in the Sox system, according to MLB Pipeline. In 48 games this season with the team’s Triple-A affiliate in Charlotte, Collins has hit nine home runs, driven in 38 RBI, and drawn 35 walks. His slash line of .258/.382/.497 has been respectable, and he will likely get at least some action behind the plate for the short-handed White Sox.

The big question for the White Sox is how they will fit Collins onto the team’s roster. The club will likely put either Welington Castillo or Yoan Moncada on the injured list, but another player will likely have to go, as the White Sox 40-man roster is completely full.
