Former White Sox Star Harold Baines Elected to Hall of Fame

Baines spent 14 seasons with the White Sox, with 221 home runs and 1,773 hits to his credit

Former Chicago White Sox standout Harold Baines is headed to Cooperstown after he was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame on Sunday night.

Baines, who spent 14 seasons with the White Sox, was selected for enshrinement by the Today’s Game Era vote, the Hall of Fame announced.

Baines played a total of 22 seasons in his big league career, and his biggest years were spent with the White Sox. The outfielder and designated hitter hit 221 home runs in 1,670 career games with the White Sox, and drove in 981 RBI in that span.

In total, Baines had 2,866 career hits, 384 career home runs, and a .289 batting average.
