Former Chicago Cubs reliever Justin Wilson has reportedly agreed to a contract with the New York Mets.

Wilson, who posted a 3.86 ERA in 94 appearances with the Cubs, will receive a two-year contract worth roughly $10 million, according to multiple reports.

The deal comes a day after the Cubs signed free agent reliever Brad Brach to a one-year deal, a signal that Wilson’s time in Chicago was over.

The reliever struggled in a big way during his first season with the Cubs, posting a 5.09 ERA as he dealt with serious control issues. He was significantly better in his second season, shaving a run and a half off of his ERA and striking out 69 batters in 54.2 innings of work during the 2018 campaign.
