David Bote's Walk-Off Single Highlights Incredible Story

Bote's wife is being induced in Colorado on Sunday

The Chicago Cubs got an incredible walk-off win on Sunday afternoon thanks to David Bote, but the third baseman had extra motivation to get the game over with quickly.

Bote, who came up with no outs in the bottom of the ninth and the game tied at 1-1, delivered with an RBI single off of Diamondbacks reliever Archie Bradley, scoring Javier Báez and giving the Cubs a 2-1 lead.

After the game, Bote did an on-field interview with NBC Sports Chicago, but he had to bolt because his pregnant wife is being induced in Colorado, and he had to catch a flight:

Bote did not speak to reporters in the clubhouse after the game, instead walking quickly down the tunnel to get to his car and leave the ballpark.
