After Sweep, Cubs Pull Off Epic Burn on Brewers

This marks the second time this week the Cubs have dissed the Brewers

The Chicago Cubs have made a habit of blasting the Milwaukee Brewers both on and off the field this weekend, and Sunday’s victory gave them one last chance at a parting shot.

The Cubs, who swept the Brewers thanks to their victory at Wrigley Field, shut the Brewers out in three of the four games of the series, and had one final parting gift for them as they departed the Friendly Confines.

On Friday, Fox Sports Wisconsin tweeted a GIF of Lorenzo Cain with the caption “Hey Lorenzo, what do you say?,” a take on the Cubs’ signature song “Go Cubs Go:”

Naturally, that sat very well with the Cubs, who responded after the sweep was complete with a burn of their own:

“The Cubs are gonna win four straight,” the team musically chimed in.

This marks the second time that the Cubs have hammered the Brewers on social media, as the team also made a wisecrack about Milwaukee’s attendance earlier this weekend.

On the field, the Cubs are rolling as well, as they are just a half game out of first place in the National League Central after winning eight of their last 10 games, and they are now 7-1 against the Brewers this season.
