Bob Newhart sums the Chicago Cubs' World Series win for everyone

Bob Newhart, one of several locally raised, life-long Chicago Cubs fans who became consistent fixtures of the MLB postseason summed up 108 years of cursed-team pain in five words: "The billy goat is dead!!"

Newhart flew the "W" on Twitter once again after the Cubs beat the Indians in extra innings to win the World Series.

"As I've said, from the beginning," he tweeted, "I'm getting too old for this! #GoCubsGo #FlytheW"

Newhart wasn't the only famous celebrity to take to Twitter to celebrate their team.

Actor John Cusack simply tweeted, "Curse is gone."

First Lady Michelle Obama, raised on Chicago's South Side, said, "Go @Cubs, go! Been rooting for you since I was a kid, and so incredibly proud tonight. #FlytheW."

“New Girl” actor and Evanston native Jake Johnson tweeted, "They did it, Chicago. They did it!"

He followed it up with: "I'm happy for Steve Bartman."

"Our long wait is over. GO CUBS!!!" actor Joe Mantegna said.

Hillary Clinton took to Twitter to rival her memorable reaction to the Cubs winning the NLCS last month.

Her campaign’s deputy organizing director tweeted a photo of Clinton raising her arm in the air and celebrating the win.
