Bulls exercise options on Thomas, Sefolosha and Noah

Chicago, IL (Sports Network) - The Chicago Bulls announced on Friday that the team has picked up the 2009-10 contract options for forward Tyrus Thomas, guard Thabo Sefolosha and forward/center Joakim Noah.

Originally selected by Portland with the fourth overall pick in 2006, Thomas was acquired, along with Viktor Khryapa, from the Trail Blazers for the draft rights to LaMarcus Aldridge. In his two seasons with Chicago, Thomas has recorded 6.0 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.0 blocks in 146 games.

Sefolosha has logged 5.1 points and 2.9 rebounds in 140 games the past two seasons after coming to the Bulls in another 2006 draft-day deal with Philadelphia for the rights to Rodney Carney and cash considerations.

Noah, selected ninth overall by Chicago in the 2007 draft, started 31-of-74 games his rookie season, averaging 6.6 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.1 assists for the club.
