Amos, Goldman Miss Practice for Bears Wednesday

The Chicago Bears have been dealing with a ton of injury issues lately, and their first injury report of Week 14 is full of key players on the shelf.

Defensive tackle Eddie Goldman, who was injured in the team’s Week 13 loss to the San Francisco 49’ers, was absent from practice at Halas Hall as he nurses a hip injury. Goldman, who has one and a half sacks and 37 tackles this season, would be a big loss to a line that just had to place Mitch Unrein on injured reserve Tuesday.

Two more key members of the team’s defense are also on the mend with injuries. Safety Adrian Amos, who missed Sunday’s game with a hamstring injury, was once again absent from practice, meaning that Chris Prosinski could be in line to start another game in his place if Amos can’t get healed up.

Linebacker Pernell McPhee, who was injured Sunday, was also absent from practice with a shoulder injury.

The Bears only had one player as a limited participant in the workout, with DeAndre Houston-Carson dealing with an ankle ailment.

For the Bears’ opponent, the injury report was a lot longer, with three different players, including Vontaze Burfict and Joe Mixon, both absent from practice with concussions, according to the Cincinnati Bengals. Cornerbacks Darqueze Dennard (knee), Adam Jones (groin), and Dre Kirkpatrick (concussion) were also among the nine players that missed Wednesday’s practice for Cincinnati.
