A Comparison on Line Swapping

The news out of practice Monday was that Joel Quenneville had shfited around the lines, which as it always does now caused most fans to roll their eyes.

A five-game losing streak will always cause a shuffle, but with Q so does running out of toothpaste, a cloudy day, and whenever there's an itch on his leg.

But how much does Q switch around his lines compared to others? Luckily, a reader from Second City Hockey.com, JesusMarianHossa, decided to show us:

First thing that jumps out at you is just how consistent the Wings have been with their top three lines. All have played as much or more together than any Hawks lines. The Cancucks numbers are a little lower due to some longer term injuries than the other teams have had and early season foibles. But the fact that the Hawks can't have a second line playing together for more than 3 percent of the time while the other two are at six tells you something
