Redskins Respond to Report that DeSean Jackson's LA Home Was Scene of Home Invasion

The Washington Redskins are responding to a home invasion at the Los Angeles residence of injured wide receiver DeSean Jackson Wednesday.

Four armed intruders entered Jackson's occupied home in the San Fernando Valley on Wednesday, according to a Los Angeles Police Department representative. The report of the home invasion first appeared in TMZ.com, which reported four to five intruders broke into Jackson's home.

Jackson wasn't home at the time, police said, but there were five people present when the home invasion occurred; it was unclear how they were related to Jackson. TMZ reported the home's occupants fought with the intruders, who then fled the scene, but the LAPD did not confirm that information. The police report was not immediately available.

The police representative did say that no injuries were reported in the incident. It was unknown what was taken from the house, which is in the 19000 block of Santa Rita Street.

Redskins coach Jay Gruden addressed the report Friday afternoon.

"Obviously he's concerned and he's letting law enforcement there take care of it," Gruden said. "Some things happened at his house, and he's concerned as every home owner would be. He'll get to the bottom of it as will the police, and we'll go from there.

Jackson, who is recovering from a hamstring injury, was not available during the team's open locker room media availability.

Jackson's publicist said DeSean had no knowledge of the incident until Thursday night and is waiting for police to get more information.

KNBC's Joe Studley contributed to this report.
