Things keep getting better for White Sox pitcher Phil Humber.
A couple of days after in Major League Baseball history -- and after doing more press than he's likely done in his entire career combined -- Humber was in the spotlight on the "Late Show with David Letterman."
Humber did Letterman's Top 10 list via satellite from Oakland where the Sox are playing the A's.
The "Top 10 Things Went Through Philip Humber's Mind During His Perfect Game," bit included lines such as:
- Don't jinx it by thinking about it. Don't jinx it by thinking about it. I'm thinking about it.
- Thank goodness for my catcher, AJ Pierzanky... Piernoftski.. Pierzonski... whatever.
- Thank goodness I drafted myself for my fantasy team.
Humber has also been commisserating with President Barack Obama and Tim Tebow since throwing the perfect game.
His next start will be Thursday versus the Boston Red Sox.
