Marshall Fractures Two Ribs, Injures Lung vs. Cowboys

The Chicago Bears saw their top wide receiver go down with an injury on Thursday night against the Dallas Cowboys, and Friday brought more bad news for Brandon Marshall.

The team announced that Marshall suffered two broken ribs and a lung injury in the game after being kneed in the back by Cowboys safety Barry Church.

He was taken to a hospital during halftime of the game, and he remained there for observation on Friday afternoon, according to the team.

The Bears also announced that Marshall will definitely be out of the lineup for the team's next game, a Monday night showdown with the New Orleans Saints.

They didn't rule him out for the rest of the season, but with only two games remaining on the docket after the contest vs. New Orleans, it wouldn't be a stretch to imagine that this injury could cost Marshall the remainder of the season.

The Dallas Cowboys beat the Bears Thursday, 41-28.
